Churchill armchair in Turf

This beautiful, small, stylish, elegant chair we have called the Churchill. It could not be less like Winston, so think more of the dainty Clementine. Back to the chair – it is modelled on a stunning 19th Century chair bought at auction – and despite being very small indeed, it is outstandingly comfortable and cosy.

Is it possible to have a darker stain on the legs?

Many thanks for your question. Yes, we do three different finishes on all our sofas, beds and armchairs! A dark mahogany (which is almost black), an English oak, as seen on this style on the website, or a French white finish. You can see these three finishes on our website if you go to the FAQs (on the top right hand corner of our website), then inside the first question - can I change the legs on my sofa, at the end of the first paragraph it says "Click here to see the legs" - click on the word here and it will ping open an image of all three styles for you to see!

Do you deliver to Germany?

I am interested in a super kingsize bed.

We are very pleased to see that you are interested in ordering one of our beautiful beds, but sadly we do not deliver our sofas outside of the mainland UK and Ireland.

Even so, some people love our items so much that many of them have made it out of the country! Many of our customers have had sofas or beds delivered to shipping companies in the UK and from there they have arranged the onward delivery.

The Sophie Single storage bed has two drawers and any larger size has 2 drawer on each side so four total.

We do now have the option though to have on double or larger beds, two deeper drawers on one side if you prefer.

If you combine a double with a single in the modular stella range - would the cushions all be the same width? So a big three person sofa?

The seat cushions on the double unit measures 70cm and the small single unit measures 70cm also. The large single unit is 86cm. So if you'd like them to match the small single is good.

Fleetwood three seat sofa bed in Cookie

Continental Europe has embraced the "click-clack" sofabed mechanism for decades, whilst us Brits have been a bit slow on the uptake. The "click-clack" movement takes about two seconds to turn this groovy retro style sofa into an excellent bed. Much easier on the pocket than a traditional sofabed, which is a happy coincidence.

Sinatra in Elderflower

The Sinatra is as much of a charmer as ol’ blue eyes himself. At first glance, a traditional piece with a smart scroll to the back and pretty skirt to the front. But look a little closer, and you’ll see that this chair is hiding some serious swing. At its base you’ll find a swivel mechanism, which allows the chair to not only turn on its base but to tilt back-and-forth also. Talk about rock and roll!

what is the armchair filled with? I want to avoid fire retardant foam.

Hi Susie,

Many thanks for your message. The Sinatra armchair has a sprung base and back and so doesn't have a foam seat cushion or back, however the padding against the frame and fabric - which is what makes the armchair so comfy will have had a FR treatment. Legally in the UK absolutely every armchair, sofa and even bed and footstool sold must have had fire retardancy treatment to a degree and so there's no way to avoid this. However, this armchair doesn't have any more than necessary and this retardant spray is not harmful in any way.
